Paper Planes in Flight

Paper Planes in Flight was a solo exhibition that took place at The Bascom: Center for the Visual Arts. The exhibition was part of a four week long residency and the theme was "play." In the spirit of play I created an interactive installation where guests were encouraged to fold paper planes and add to the installation by throwing them into the space. The exhibition began with approximately 700 planes folded by me and ended with over 1700 planes. Also included in the space were four large paintings of paper planes and larger planes constructed out of foam core boards.
